Willing to fit in with its local environment and respond to contemporary issues, Brussels’ famous opera house is seeking to make its operations and performances more responsible. 

In line with this desire for change, the opera has decided to dedicate a show to raising public awareness of the climate crisis. The play “Cassandra” has been staged for this purpose. To ensure a degree of coherence, the opera wanted to make the performance as virtuous as possible. The Donut workshop was used to explore this issue: many ideas were generated for this performance, but also for the future of the opera! 

We can only conclude (and rejoice) that the Brussels cultural sector is also keen to contribute to the transition of our societies through the stories it tells and the way it operates! A fine example!
